Black and White photograph from the Nothwest Arkansas Morning News of a man sitting in a plane. Caption reads "The old familiar feeling: Bob Baehr of Bella Vista sits Thursday at the flight engineer's seat in the cockpit of the B-29 bomber on display this week at Carter Field in Rogers. Baehr, a flight engineer on a B-29 in the 1950s while stationed at Fairbanks, Alaska. the plane was brought to Rogers by the Confederate Air Force, and may be toured through Sunday from 9am to 7pm. Admission is $3 to get in the gate and $5 to tour the inside of the plane. Kids are admitted free. Admission fees are used to pay the expenses of flying the plane, which costs $3,000 an hour to fly". |
